Introductory Note: The webboard is a website that allows the teacher to easily publish on-line instructional presentations, activities, references and assessment.This training resource page makes the teachers pursue continuous learning inside the Internet on the various topics covered by the training design. This project supports the optimal use of community e-center, computer Internet laboratories, Internet Cafe, and home based Internet computers to realize the service goal of quality education for all.
The facilitation processes of the training promote:
- the not-to-reinvent the wheel. It means the use of best practice references on effective teaching and e-learning;
- the discovery, evaluation and use of re-usable open content learning objects in the Internet;
- the actual building of generic ICT skills through the use of free and open standard-based computer applications and Internet technologies;
- the situational or contextual application of knowledge to match local environment and learner's conditions; and
- the promotion of continuous improvement through reflective practice and open discussion of strength, weakness, opportunities and threats to realize the strategic integration of ICT in teaching and learning.
Training Brief Description:
The webboard training is an outcome-based instruction program to build the capability of teachers to become on-line self-directed learner, and to facilitate learning inside the Internet. It enables the teacher to extend the traditional learning space inside the World Wide Web, and make "teaching" accessible anytime, anywhere, and for all.
The training introduces the best practice references to design on-line instruction, the use of computer application and Internet technologies, the assessment and usage alignment of re-usable learning content available in Internet.
This training program can be conducted in three (3) ALTERNATIVE ways:
- OPTION 1: six (days) exploratory briefing on the various aspects of building the webboard on-line learning project with minimal hand-on activities (COMPLETE SUITE AT FULL UNDERSTANDING LEVEL AND PARTIAL AT APPLICATION LEVEL -BLENDED INSTRUCTIONAL APPROACH)
- OPTION 2: twelve (12) days intensive project based learning where the participants undergo the process of acquiring the skills to build their beta webboard site that can be introduced already to their students to be tested, get feedback, and to be continuously improved.(COMPLETE SUITE AT FULL UNDERSTANDING LEVEL AND APPLICATION LEVEL- BLENDED INSTRUCTIONAL APPROACH)
- OPTION 3: one (1) up to three (3) days per module approach to match organizational need, and the topics will be elaborately presented with matching hands-on or project creation activities (PER MODULE FULL UNDERSTANDING LEVEL AND APPLICATION LEVEL =BLENDED INSTRUCTIONAL APPROACH)

TRAINING PROGRAM:
